Monthly Wrap-Up features an overall update about what happened on the blog during that specific month.
Hey everyone, can you believe August is already here! The summer has felt like it’s just flown right on by.
What I Read
I didn’t get up to much reading this month, definitely not as much as I had hoped. I did finally listen to an audio book from start to finish; The Ruby Brooch by Katherine Lowry Logan, please stay tuned for the the review soon.
Consider Me by Becka Mack
I really enjoyed this one, considering I’m not really big into sports romances. This kind of blasted the door open on that, and I’m certain I will continue to explore the genre more. I also can’t wait to finish reading the rest of the Playing for Keeps series. | 4 stars ****

What I Watched
Yellowstone | Rewatching the entire series while waiting for the second half of season 5 to come out in November. I’m kind of sad that Kevin Costner will not be returning to at least finish season 5. Hopefully this does not mean that they are going to kill him off.
The Wheel of Time | I started to watch Season 2, however I didn’t get very far, may be the second episode. I may have to rewatch season 1 to get back into it.
Despicable Me 4 | We went to see this in theaters last weekend with my little one. It was pretty good, not as good as the first three but still good. Not sure where else they can take the series but I’m excited to see where it goes.
Life Update
July was a really emotional month for me. I experienced a lot of heartbreak due to some ongoing health issues and my grandma who had passed away in June we celebrated her life on Canada Day Weekend.
I decided to take a leap and quit my very stressful job. For those that don’t know, I was working for a home health agency, taking care of the elderly in the community. There was lots of travel and kilometers put on my car. I had been working for the company for about a year, but for the last 6 months the hours have been all over the place, I would have hours of dead space where I didn’t have clients but I was still technically on call and couldn’t do anything incase I got a call last minute. Needless to say it’s been crazy, and I tried many avenues to cut back my schedule again because of the aforementioned ongoing health issues and I just wasn’t getting anywhere with the company and ultimately decided that my health and family is my utmost priority and this job just wasn’t cutting it.
Fortunately now this means I have oodles of more time to read…hopefully. But seriously I got a new job and start in the next few weeks following some training and after I take my planned mini vacation and actual vacation.
What did you get up to during the month of July, let me know in the comments below?!
